- Paper Wedding Anniversary
There are two types of silhouette work that I do, the head and shoulder portraits which are cut live at events and the more intricate illustrative commissions of figures, pets and scenes. These are usually produced using photographs as reference and a compositional sketch is created before cutting commences. The purpose for commissions have ranged from wedding presents, birthday presents, leaving presents, to letterhead design, logo, anniversary gifts, sometimes in commemoration of loved ones who have passed away. They seem to evoke an essence of a simple, timeless presence. Below are some examples of commissioned work:
